XXV Congress of Democratic Party of Paweł Piskorski

In Warsaw a special congress of Democratic Party (SD of Paweł Piskorski). Delegates accepted statutory changes. Since now, a president of the party chairs sessions. According to Paweł Piskorski, previous resolution, separating functions of President of the party and Chairman of Primate Council, didn't work out.
Congress gave to Primate Council a right to dismiss any DP's leadership. Next national congress has been announced for April. By then, elections of delegates will have taken place.
On Primate Council's session, under new regulations, Paweł Piskorski informed, that, for the first time since years, National Electoral Commission would accept DP's financial report. The Democratic Party has stopped taking profits from estate rental. By the end of January DP will have sold all of its real estates.
Piskorski emphasized, that he's glad of good polls' results of Olechowski. In his opinion, Olechowski is a candidate, who may be supported by both Left and Center politicians (e.g. Ewa Kierzyńska, PPP or Jerzy Szmajdziński, DLA) in the second round of president elections.
