On thursday president Lech Kaczynski established a National Council of Development. A new advisory board associates 44 specialists of different fields including representatives of trade unions and local governments, economists, sociologists and businesmen.
In a Council we can find some well-known people like former ministers of science and education, Michał Seweryński, former vice-minister of finance - Stanisław Orłowski, president Kwaśniewski's economy advisor - prof. Witold Orłowski or Janusz Steinhoff - a vice-prime minister and minister of economy in a government of Jerzy Buzek.
Also some people, who are generally associated with different political formations, agreed to join a council. Those are e.g.: Joanna Staręga-Piasek (a member of demokraci.pl), Marek Goliszewski (BCC leader, formerly supporting DP of Paweł Piskorski) and Henryka Bochniarz (a leader of KPP Lewiatan and a candidate in president elections in 2005).
It can be seen, that the president didn't make a mistakes that had previously been the order of the day. A new council consists of real experts and do not base on political capital of one formation.
