Election fraud is one of Polish problems

Poland

I wrote some time ago claiming that the Polish GDP is miscalculated. I got the response for my questions from Polish Main Statistical Office, however they indicated the methodology and said nothing about the missing accounting of Polish public sector (such as communal housing or infrastructure).

Another thing is election fraud. Polish election procedures are very easy to manipulate (one just needs to forge signatures of absent voters and cast votes instead of them, no one checks it). Besides, large-scale voters-bribery was well documented in even large towns such as Płock (allegedly mafia-dominated city, famous for Olewnik- gate), Wałbrzych (Waldenburg), once large industrial town, today a slum-city known for its changed demographic structure. It is often said that in Waldenburg young people cannot be seen on its streets, as they left.

Here, in one Polish tabloid newspaper, are some articles and pictures of the slum areas in Wałbrzych: Pictures: http://wroclaw.gazeta.pl/wroclaw/5,35767,9047731,Zobacz_klimaty_walbrzyskiego_Sobiecina.html?i=0

Article on election fraud, with some depiction of local politics (sounds rather like mafia): http://wyborcza.pl/1,82709,9053213,Walbrzych__w_dzien_wyplaty_miasto_tanczy.html?as=1&startsz=x
