The last breath of democrates

Władysław Frasyniuk has left Democratic Party – demokraci.pl after Christmas. He was it's unquestionable leader. When in 2005 three politicians: Jerzy Hausner (then vice prime minister in Belka's government), Tadeusz Mazowiecki and Frasyniuk were building a new quality on polish political scene, no one supposed, that it would end like we can see it now. The Democratic Party (Partia Demokratyczna) hasn't been doing well recently. It's program has been blur in different coalitions with the Left. The legends have been leaving succesively. First, the Wójciks then - Bogdan Lis and Marian Filar. The most prominent politicians of past Liberty Union (Unia Wolności), Bronisław Geremek and Jacek Kuroń, passed away few years ago. Leszek Balcerowicz already in 2001 decided to back the Civic Platform (Platforma Obywatelska).
Now, DP (Partia Demokratyczna) is unable to represent any electorate, nither liberal, nor social-democratical. Andrzej Wielowieyski and Janusz Oleszkiewicz are supporting the leader in marking up a new center-Left direction, but their presence won't hold back a wave of leaving the party.
Brygida Kuźniak (a leader of DP) claims, that Frasyniuk and Mazowiecki can be proud, because they brought up inhumble successors. It's a pity that this lack of humbleness hits their own history, whereas, towards to past DLA (Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej), now Polish Social Democracy (SDPL), conformity and adopting programmatic postulates are performed. Moreover, fully respecting young leaders of Democratic Party (PD) in regions, we can't presume, taht, as regional bosses, they would become as efficient and recognizable as Frasyniuk, Bujak or Wujec.
Backing up the candidature of Tomasz Nałęcz by the leader of the party without approval of National Council is a manifestation of disrespecting by the leader hers own party's structures. This is the direction that will soon cause not only the loss of DP's remaining backup, but also a loss of ability to create coalition due to being considered as not serious by partners.
Observing present-day DP, we are dealing with a formation living off on the tradition of past Liberty Union (UW) and Civic Clubs. A tradition, which lacks respect to those, who have created it. This is perfectly well exemplified by one of warsaw DP's politician's statement on Brygida Kuźniak's blog: 'Frasyniuk haven't done anything for us, nither me, nor my circles will cry for him, we don't need dead souls, not quantity but quality' (Mariusz Kozakiewicz, leader of DP Circle on Warsaw's North Prague, free translation). This politician shows a huge ignorance and I dare to suppose, that it's not an isolated case.
Brygida Kuźniak, a leader, may soon awake in DP alone, surrounded by a group of loyal and nodding adiutants. Those, who left DP claim that there was no way to innerparty discussion. Kuźniak, not being prone to agreement, lets information to sink outside, what, surely, doesn't help the party.
Observing present-day DP I just feel grief. Especially, that I've taken part in it's campaign in 2005, previously backing up the Liberty Union (UW). Presently, a chance to create a liberal formation of the center is somewhere else. A quite popular candidature of Olechowski can be this binder. The most of former DP's (PD – demokraci.pl) and DP's of Piskorski (SD of Piskorski) politicians will concentrate around this candidature. It can count also on politicians, who are more and more dissatisfied with the way CP is being lead.
